中國-巴基斯坦文化交流

2024年10月19日，為了豐富學生課餘生活，增加國際文化互通交流，北京工業大學MBA中心舉辦了中國&巴基斯坦文化交流活動。這是一場足不出門的國際旅行，我們邀請了中巴兩國的小夥伴，以英語交流為主，相互介紹了中國和巴基斯坦文化。23級MBA聯合會主席李西臣，代表MBA中心，以及MBA同學發言緻辭，對兩位來自巴基斯坦的北工大同學表示了熱烈歡迎。

On 19th Oct., 2024, in order to enrich students’ extracurricular life and increase international cultural interoperability, our school’s MBA Center held a China & Pakistan Cultural Exchange Salon. This is an international trip without leaving home. We invited friends from China and Pakistan to communicate mainly in English, and introduced Chinese and Pakistani culture mutually. Li Xichen, the President of the MBA Association, made a speech on behalf of the MBA Center and MBA students, and extended a warm welcome to the two students from Pakistan.

在活動中，我校來自巴基斯坦的博士生Muhammad Farrukh Shahzad和Shahab Ahmad為同學們介紹了巴基斯坦的文化、語言、傳統、飲食習慣、節日等。讓我們對巴基斯坦的文化有了跟全面的了解。Muhammad Farrukh Shahzad還特意着裝巴基斯坦的傳統服飾。

During the event, Muhammad Farrukh Shahzad and Shahab Ahmad, PhD students in our university from Pakistan, introduced Pakistani culture, language, traditions, eating habits, festivals and so on. It gave us a comprehensive understanding of Pakistani culture. Muhammad Farrukh Shahzad also wore traditional Pakistani dress.

中方同學積極參與，介紹了中國的春節、中秋節等節日。在活動現場，中國MBA學生代表向兩位巴基斯坦同學贈送了中國的書法作品，作為友誼的象征，願我們友誼長存！

The Chinese students actively participated and introduced Chinese festivals such as Spring Festival and Mid-Autumn Festival and so on. At the event, representatives of Chinese MBA students presented Chinese calligraphy works to two Pakistani students as a symbol of friendship. May our friendship last forever!

在你問我答環節，中巴同學互相交流不同的文化，交流帶來了全新的視角和體驗，拓寬了同學們視野。

During the Q&A session, students from China and Pakistan exchanged different cultures with each other. The communication brought new perspectives and experience, and broadened the students' horizons.

MBA中心及聯合會共同舉辦的第一屆“巴基斯坦文化交流沙龍”圓滿成功。此次沙龍不僅讓我們深入了解了巴基斯坦的文化，還促進了MBA同學間的國際交流與友誼。此次沙龍的圓滿的成功，離不開MBA中心老師和聯合會的精心組織和各位同學的積極參與。我們相信，通過此類文化交流活動，能夠進一步促進MBA同學間的國際交流與合作，為未來的職業發展打下堅實基礎。再次感謝您的參與和支持！期待在未來的活動中與您再次相聚！

The first "Pakistan Cultural Exchange Salon" jointly organized by the MBA Center and the Association was a great success. The salon not only gave us an in-depth understanding of Pakistani culture, but also promoted international exchanges and friendship among MBA students. The success of this salon is inseparable from the careful organization of the MBA Center teachers and the association and the active participation of all students. We believe that through such cultural exchange activities, we can further promote international exchanges and cooperation among MBA students and lay a solid foundation for future career development. 很開心能參與到此次活動中，傾聽巴基斯坦的朋友和我們分享當地的文化，美食，藝術等等。喜歡他們的婚禮方式，喜歡當地的手工藝品，希望有機會可以去當地遊玩親身感受。同時感謝MBA活動中心舉辦此次沙龍活動，讓我們有機會了解不同的文化。

I am very happy to participate and listen to Pakistani friends share local culture, food, art, etc. with us. I like their wedding style and local handicrafts. I hope to have the opportunity to visit the local cities. At the same time, I would like to thank our MBA Center to organize this activities, which gave us the opportunity to understand the different cultures.

在沙龍中，我為巴基斯坦友人介紹了中國的傳統節日，包括春節、中秋節等節日。這些節日代表了中華民族豐富的社會生活文化内容，還積澱了博大精深的曆史文化内涵。通過與巴基斯坦友人的交流，我發現了不同文化之間的相似性，這讓我更加深刻地認識到，盡管我們來自不同的國家，但我們對生活和家庭的美好向往是相同的。這次沙龍不僅提高了我的英語水平，還讓我對巴基斯坦文化有了更深了解，也豐富了巴基斯坦留學生的課餘生活。

In the China-Pakistan English Salon, I introduced Chinese festivals to Pakistani friends, including the Spring Festival, Mid-Autumn Day and so on. These festivals record the rich and colorful social and cultural life in China and reflect profound historical and cultural backgrounds. During the session, I even discovered the similarities of different cultures in comparing Pakistani traditions: they are all aspiring to the happiness in life and family. Through this event, I not only improved my English skills, but also deepened my understanding of Pakistani culture. I believe that this kind of cultural exchange will help promote the friendship between China and Pakistan, making our expats friends lives in BJUT enriched.

In the MBA cultural exchange activities, I communicated with Pakistani friends, felt the different custom and culture, broadened the pattern and vision, which was an unforgettable experience and also the beginning of our China-Pakistan friendship.

活動期間，來自巴基斯坦的Farrukh和Ahmad向我們展示了巴基斯坦文化的方方面面，包括文字，藝術，宗教與節慶與飲食等。與此同時，MBA的同學們也向對方介紹了春節與中秋等我國傳統文化節日。通過兩位同學的分享，我了解到巴基斯坦雖然土地與人口小于中國，但也如同中國一樣由五到六個主要民族，共計數十個民族人民組成，其中各個地區與民族主體都各自擁有豐富多樣的文化特征。在文化交流的過程中，“典型形象”是一種快捷但是極易偏頗的認知。想要了解其他文化，應當謙遜地學習，真誠地提問，了解對方文化璀璨與多樣性。在此之上再形成具體的、深入的認知與交流。也希望以後能有更多的機會學習其他國家的文化。

During the event, Farrukh and Ahmad presented different sides of their culture, including language, art, religion, festivals and cuisines. In the meantime, my fellow MBA students also introduced to them our traditional festivals such as Spring and Mid-autumn festival. Through their sharing, I came to understand how multinational Pakistan is, with 5 major ethnic groups and over 50 minor groups. Similar to China, each group celebrates its own unique traditions and as a whole makes Pakistan a culturally rich and diverse country. “During cross-cultural inquiries, ‘stereotypes’ can help in getting to know other cultures, but they can also easily lead to incorrect understandings.” One should be humble and sincere when learning about other’s culture and appreciate that culture is a composite of many distinctive elements. I wish to have the opportunity for more international exchanges like this in the future.

Shahab Ahmad and Farrukh, our Pakistani students, captivated us with their lively narratives and rich imagery, offering a tantalizing glimpse into the vibrant festivals, delectable cuisine, and unique culture of Pakistan. Their presentation not only deepened my understanding of their country but also ignited a strong interest in it. The interaction between the student representatives from the School of Economics and Management and our international guests was a powerful demonstration of the charm of Chinese traditional culture, while also expressing our warm sentiments towards the Pakistani people. This cross-cultural dialogue was a lesson in tolerance and mutual respect, one that I found immensely rewarding. The salon was not just a celebration of culture; it was a symbol of the enduring friendship between our nations. I am eager for such exchange activities to persist, allowing more individuals to explore and appreciate the diversity of cultures worldwide. I’d like to express my gratitude to the organizers for this precious opportunity for learning and interaction, and eagerly anticipate more in the future.
